Police say there will be no criminal investigation into the case of a teenage girl whose disappearance led to a huge search but who is now back with her family.
Kirsty Chapman, 16, from Coad's Green, Cornwall, disappeared on Thursday during a visit to Plymouth.

She had stayed at another address in the city before being found two days later, police said.

About 100 officers were involved in the search for the youngster.

'Safe and well'

Kirsty set off with her grandparents' dog, a white poodle named Marcia, from their home in Berkshire Drive at about 1615 BST on Thursday and was due home at 1700 BST.

After she was reported missing to police, a member of the public found the dog on its own in nearby Pasley Street, less than 500m from her grandparents' home.

Police revealed that Kirsty, a student at Duchy College in Callington, Cornwall, was a user of internet chatrooms and part of their inquiry focused on people she spoke to online.

Devon and Cornwall police said on Monday: "Kirsty is safe and well and with her family."

The force added: "We can confirm that the police are not conducting any criminal investigation in relation to the circumstances. There are no links to the internet."

The teenager was further interviewed by police on Monday about her disappearance before returning home to her parents and three sisters.
